For example, if you search for “crypto loans without collateral“, the search engine will understand that you are looking for information about crypto loans that don’t need any kind of security to be taken out.
Choose the right keywords
In order to find the right keywords for your Web3 project, you gotta do your research properly because it is fundamentally data-driven. Four key factors come into play here: Behaviour, Demand, Trends and Opportunities, and Competitors‘ Keywords.
Consider this: If your website were a physical shop, what would the sign on the front say? What would you name the inner aisles?
Having your brand name in front of the door would never bring in interested customers with their purses wide open, ready to spend on a solution they are looking for. Would it? Nope. Because your brand name does not tell anybody what you’re actually doing and selling.
Also, having “Entrance” or in our case “Homepage” on the front door doesn’t make any sense. Except for when people wanna buy entrances in your physical or digital stores. But that’s probably not the case, as we’re talking about SEO for Web3.
Make your content relevant to search users
When we talk about On-Page Optimisation, we’re actually asking the question “How can we make your Web3 website and its content as relevant as possible to the people who are searching for solutions on Google?”
In order to reach this goal, we’re looking at the following six elements and make sure they are optimized on point:
- First and foremost, you’ve gotta make sure your URL has those relevant keywords we were just talking about.
- Then you need to write a powerful Title tag, as this is the first thing your potential customers see from you in the search results. Keep it within 70 characters and make it pop with those important keywords that really showcase what your page is all about.
- Your Meta description, which is limited to 160 characters, should give a brief yet complete summary of what your page is about, including, yes, again, relevant keywords.
- Headings are also super important for on-page SEO. They not only help structure and organize your content to make it easy to read, but they also tell search engines what your content is all about.
- The body of your content needs to be original and include keywords naturally. You can determine the word count by looking at your competitors’ benchmark to make sure you’re providing all the necessary information.
- Oh, and don’t forget about the images on your page! They offer a chance for keyword optimization too. Just use Alt tags and image file names to help search engines understand what your images are all about.
The Importance of your Website Structure
You see, it’s super important to make sure search engines can easily access and understand your content. This is where your website structure comes into play. It should be organized in a hierarchical way, as this helps search engine bots to crawl and index your content.
What to Do
The three main elements of a well-structured website are:
- Categories and Subcategories – Make sure all of the topics on your site are easily accessible by creating subcategories and pages for different topics
- Internal Links Include internal links so that people are able to navigate from one page to another within your website easily
- Breadcrumbs This is an important part of UX and will help search engine bots understand the structure of your website better
These three elements combined with the SEO optimization for each page will make sure search engines can understand your website and its content better. This will in turn increase your chances of appearing higher up on the search engine results page (SERP).
Also, don’t forget about the importance of meta tags! They offer a great opportunity for optimizing your page for web3 projects, as they provide an additional layer of information to help search engines understand what your page is about.
What to avoid
But there are also a few things you want to avoid, like for example:
- Duplicate content – Don’t copy and paste content from other sources or pages, as this will hurt your SEO

- Broken links – Make sure all the links on your website are working properly
- A too slow page loading speed – This will also hurt your rankings as it decreases user experience
- Too many subdomains – Having too many subdomains can lead to confusion and even conflicts between different pages
