Between 2020 and 2022, Victoria Olsina hosted and spoke at seven Semrush webinars, in English on Semrush Live and in Spanish on Semrush en español. The sessions covered SERP features, natural language processing, SEO myths, mobile-first UX, on-page SEO and the state of SEO in Argentina. This page collects every recording in one place, with her role in each and the main ideas worth keeping. For her full speaking history, see Conferences & Webinars.

How the Semrush webinar partnership started

Victoria Olsina became one of the regular hosts of Semrush’s English webinar series in 2020. She told Women in Tech SEO in an interview that Semrush picked her partly because she is also a stand-up comedian, the first time she had been booked as an SEO speaker for that reason.

Hosting meant running the session end to end: introducing the speakers, steering the panel, picking audience questions and keeping a technical conversation easy to follow. Speaking meant presenting her own framework. Both roles are listed below.

English webinars on Semrush Live

SERP Features Across 11 Countries (August 2020, host)

This session looked at how SERP features were changing click-through rates, at a time when close to half of Google searches ended without a click. Juliana Turnbull opened with a 12-month analysis of 125 million keywords across 11 international markets. Jason Barnard followed with data from 1 million brand SERPs, showing how far blue links had disappeared and which SERP features mattered in 10 industries.

The theme still holds. SERP features were the first wave of zero-click search. AI Overviews and AI assistants are the second, which is why Victoria Olsina’s current work focuses on AI SEO and GEO.

It’s Time to Leave These 4 SEO Myths in 2020 (October 2020, host)

Garrett Mehrguth, Ric Rodriguez and James Brown used data to take apart four common SEO myths and showed how changing that mindset leads to measurable growth.

5 Practical Ways to Implement NLP in Your SEO Strategy (February 2021, host)

Dan Liddle, Senior SEO Account Manager at Croud, explained how natural language processing works in search. A panel with Kristine Schachinger, Jeff Coyle and Duane Forrester then discussed how search engines and Google’s BERT algorithm use NLP.

Five years later, this session reads as an early version of today’s AI search debate. Entities, language understanding and meaning over keywords are now the basis of how large language models choose sources.

Mobile-First UX Examples That Increase SEO Ranking and Generate More Leads (May 2021, host)

Google had just completed its move to mobile-first indexing. The presenter, founder of the car dealership platform 321 Ignition, compared mobile-responsive sites with mobile-first designs, using side-by-side examples of menus, product pages and lead forms.

The panel discussion, with Cindy Krum of MobileMoxie and Daniel Foley Carter, added two useful cautions:

  • Mobile-first design and mobile-first indexing are different things. One is about users, the other about how Google crawls.
  • Hiding or cutting text for a cleaner mobile layout can cost rankings. Test the change on one page, measure positions and query coverage, then roll it out.

Spanish webinars on Semrush en español

Cómo doblar los clics orgánicos en 3 meses con SERP features (November 2020, speaker)

Victoria Olsina’s Spanish session for Semrush on how to double organic clicks in three months by winning SERP features. The topic matches her 2021 SEOnderground talk on the same theme.

3 Horas de SEO: Estrategias de SEO On Page (March 2021, speaker)

Part of Semrush en español’s “3 Horas de SEO” series, alongside speakers including Aleyda Solís. Victoria Olsina presented four on-page tactics for winning more SERP features:

  1. Write content that answers user intent and satisfies Google at the same time.
  2. Format content for featured snippets.
  3. Add FAQ structured data.
  4. Add every type of structured data relevant to the site, so results take up more space.

The full session and slides are on the Estrategias de SEO On Page page. Her talk starts at 1:31:58.

El estado del SEO en Argentina (July 2022, panellist)

A Spanish-language panel with SEO specialists from agencies and in-house teams, including Nestlé, on how SEO is sold, priced and measured in Argentina. Victoria Olsina’s main points:

  • Start with what you sell. She described a client with more than 1,000 pages about cashback where the word “cashback” appeared on none of them. If the core term is missing, no tactic fixes it.
  • Organic is cheaper than paid in competitive niches. From her time at Barclays, she pointed to finance keywords costing up to £50 per click, which makes organic acquisition far cheaper.
  • Tie organic to revenue. Connecting analytics to the CRM lets teams attribute closed deals to organic traffic, not just sessions.
  • SEO is a remote career. For professionals in Argentina, SEO skills can be sold to international clients and paid in stronger currencies.

What connects these sessions to AI search today

Read together, the seven sessions trace a straight line to Victoria Olsina’s current work:

  • SERP features and zero-click search led to AI Overviews and answer engines.
  • NLP and entities led to how LLMs select and cite sources.
  • “Say what you sell” led to the entity clarity her book on AI search for crypto and Web3 puts first.

The tactics changed. The principle did not: make it easy for machines to understand exactly what a brand is and what it offers.

Conclusion

Victoria Olsina hosted four Semrush Live webinars and spoke at three Semrush en español sessions between 2020 and 2022. The recordings above show the bilingual teaching style she now brings to AI search training for marketing teams, and the early SEO thinking that shaped her approach to GEO.
